When to use a process flow diagram

PFDs are ideal for documenting onboarding, approval workflows, manufacturing steps, software request handling, and customer journeys. For looser brainstorming use the whiteboard; for radial idea structures use a mind map.

    Build your first PFD

    1. Open the editor in flowchart mode.
    2. Place a circle for the start node.
    3. Add rectangles for each process step and diamonds for decisions.
    4. Use the Connect tool to wire steps with arrows.
    5. Export as a PNG to drop into docs or slides.
